Cyra & Chinedu

Background

Chinedu had one non negotiable: the sea had to be part of it. He and Cyra were coming to Bali, and he wanted the question asked somewhere the ocean did most of the talking. The answer was Balangan, a dramatic sea rock jutting out into the waves on Bali's southern coast, reachable only by a narrow path and made for a proposal you feel in your chest.

The Vision

Chinedu pictured golden light, not neon. He wanted the whole thing warm and timeless: white florals spilling across the rock, candles by the hundred, and live music carrying over the sound of the surf. A violinist instead of a playlist. Sunset instead of spotlights. And, spelled out in candlelight on the stone, a message Cyra could read the moment she stepped onto the cliff.

What We Created

We turned the tip of the Balangan sea rock into a private stage above the ocean. White blooms and candelabra framed the edge, a soft floral aisle led to the point, and "Will You Marry Me" glowed in candles across the ground, visible even from the air. A live violinist played as the sun dropped toward the water, and once the yes was said, a candlelit table was waiting for the two of them to celebrate with champagne as the sky burned orange and then faded to dusk.

The Moment

Cyra followed the path out onto the rock to find Chinedu waiting, the violinist playing, and the ocean crashing on every side. He went to one knee against the last of the sunset and asked. She said yes with a pink bouquet in her arms and the whole coastline glowing behind her. As night fell, they toasted at the little table by candlelight, danced on the cliff, and let the celebration run into the dark.

The Result

Chinedu and Cyra's cliff proposal in Bali showed exactly why Balangan is one of the island's most breathtaking places to propose. A sea rock all to themselves, a violinist over the waves, and a sunset that did half the work. A marriage proposal in Bali as wild and warm as the ocean it was set above.
